The king pin bolts are the critical connecting components between the front axle and the steering knuckle, enduring tremendous shear stress and alternating loads. During operation, they undergo slight plastic deformation. After being pre-tightened and subjected to long-term use, the material of old bolts may be near its yield strength limit, posing a risk of sudden fracture due to metal fatigue. Additionally, the threads may have worn or deformed. Therefore, to ensure absolute safety and connection reliability, it is mandatory to replace them with new, genuine or equivalent quality standard bolts and nuts after each disassembly, and tighten them according to the specified torque and sequence.
