Brake Fluid Leakage

Aged or damaged piston seals or dust boots on the caliper can cause brake fluid to leak from the unit. This not only leads to a drop in the brake fluid level but, more critically, results in a loss of hydraulic pressure in the braking system. This condition causes the brake pedal to feel soft or spongy, or even sink to the floor, accompanied by a severe loss of braking power, posing a significant safety hazard.
